In the final step of the wizard, create your new ToldYa Advertiser Account and click submit. A ToldYa Account Representative will contact you and we'll begin constructing a preview copy of your first widget. You can check on the progress of your new widget at any time by visiting your dashboard. If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact us directly

What type of widget do you want to create?

The product advertisement widget is by far our most popular widget type. If you are a product retailer, this is the widget type you want. Product advertisment widgets offer multiple auto-rotating product display with images, descriptions and pricing, integrated minimizable pre-roll video, product category browsing, integrated catalog search and built-in web 2.0 sharing and copying functions. ToldYa's advanced data integration methods allow your widget's products display to be completely dynamic and always perfectly up to date.
The website widget is a non-product widget designed to display a custom title and description along with a single image, optional video and a link directly to your website. Sharing and copying features are also built-in.

Lead-gen widgets are designed specifically to collect information from users. ToldYa lead-gen widgets typically display an opening graphic, animation or video and then collect personal or business information from the user, displaying a success message when complete. The lead is delivered to you, where it can be processed and used in whatever way you see fit.
If you're unsure which type of widget you want to create or want to create a type of widget that's not listed here, select this option and then click the submit button. A ToldYa account representative will contact you to discuss your needs.

What will be used as the primary source of data for your widget's products?

RSS feeds are one of the best options for powering your widget's products. They typically offer completely up to date product images, descriptions and pricing information and are usually already organized by specially selected categories. By linking your new widget directly to your existing RSS feeds, any changes you make to your products are instantly reflected in every published instance of your widget, anywhere in the world. Publishers configure your widget by selecting which RSS feed they want the widget to display when the widget first renders. And you control which RSS feeds your publishers can choose from.
If your products are listed in Googlebase (either by you or a partner), your widget can be configured to retrieve those products for your widget's initial display, or to power a custom search feature for your widget, or both. The product images, descriptions and prices that are displayed in your widget will come directly from your Googlebase catalog. You can control the level of publisher-customization by creating categories of pre-selected searches ofr publishers to choose from or you can allow your publishers to create their own custom selections of individual products. The latter option often makes your widget more appealing to publishers because they can tailor your widget to suit their audience.
If your company offers web services that offer access to all or a portion of your product catalog, your widget can be configured (via your existing web service API) to use those web services to power your widget. Like RSS feeds, web services can be a powerful solution because changes to your product data can be instantly reflected in every published widget. Your web services can be used to power your widget's initial product display and optionally an in-widget product search
You can also choose to power your widget via a simple spreadsheet or tab-delimited text file. This is an excellent option if you don't have access to any of the other data sources above. You can upload a simple spreadsheet with a listing of all the products you want to display in your widget, optionally organized by category and subcategory.
Coming soon! If you are a Linkshare affiliate and you have products listed through Linkshare, your widget can be powered with products directly from Linkshare.
Select this option if you're unsure about which data source you want to use to power your widget's products or if you need to discuss your options with your account representative.

What style of product navigation do you want?

Do you want to allow publishers to attach their own video?

Select this option if you want to give your publishers the option of attaching their own preferred video to your widget when they publish it. Attached video typically begins playing in a muted state as soon as the widget renders. Users can unmute the video or minimize it at any time to reveal the rest of the widget's features. Videos automatically minimize themselves when done playing. They can be rewinded and replayed by the user at any time.
Select this option to keep your publishers from attaching their own videos to your widget. Your widget will still be enabled for video and if you select this option, you can attach a video to your widget that cannot be overriden by publishers
Select this option if you're not sure or haven't decided. You can change this setting at any time.

Do you want to enable the 'share' function?

The share function, available from the widget's main menu, allows users to email their friends about a particular product or offer they discovered while browsing the widget. For product widgets, the user's friend receives an email with a link directly to the selected product on your website. For website widgets, the user's friend receives an email about the widget itself, with a link to either your website or ToldYa.com.
Select this option if you specifically want the share feature removed from your widget.
Select this option if you're unsure about this feature or have additional questions before approval.

Do you want to enable the 'steal' function?

The steal function is your widget's primary social commerce feature. When enabled, the steal button on the widget's main menu allows a user to instantly post an exact copy of the currently rendering widget to most popular web 2.0 social networking sites as well as to any site or blog that allows object/embed tags. This function facilitates the 'viral' spread of your widget. Copies of widgets honor the publisher of the original instance. BTW, the name 'steal' was chosen to help pique user's curiosity. If 'steal' is a little too playful, we can simply change the labels to whatever you prefer!
Select this option if you want to disable the steal functionality for all published instances of this widget.
Select this option if you're unsure or undecided. You can change this setting at any time.

Which network will this widget be integrated with?

The ToldYa Distribution Network includes thousands of websites broken down into several categories. The Premium Network houses over 300 sites that are ranked better than 5,000 on Alexa and have a virtually unlimited inventory of 300x250 real estate. The Premium Network will get your Network on some of the most popular sites on the Internet. The ToldYa Premium Network is 100% transparent and CPM's range from $3.00 - $7.50. Your ToldYa Account Representative will provide a list of Premium Publishers at your request. When using the ToldYa Premium Network your widget will be the only widget displayed or accessible on a given page giving you 100% of the visitors attention. The Toldya Partner Network is similar to Google AdSense. Publishers of all shapes and sizes will publish widgets on your behalf utilizing CPM and CPC pricing models that range in price from .25 per click to .25 per CPM. What makes ToldYa different from Google AdSense is that our Publishers choose the widgets they want to promote based on their site's content. This insures targeted traffic to your site based on real human targeting instead of a 'best-guess' algorithm. ToldYa analytics will track performance in real time.
